Yesterday morning I went to Ghibli Museum at the outskirt of Tokyo, Mitaka. Ghibli Museum famous for Totoro, Laputa, Spirited Away and many other nice animation movie. The ticket for Ghibli Museum need to buy in advance in Lawson convenience store at least one day before your desired visit date. Lawson is easy to find and here is the instructions on how to buy the tickets. I bought mine 1 month ahead with the help of my friend over in Japan. The ticket bought from Lawson will be exchanged for a very special ticket in the museum which is a small part of a film from any of the Ghibli animation movie (see the photos below). It is very nice souvenir.
The interior of the museum is very nice and beautiful. Too bad they don’t allow any photo taking inside the building. You only can take photos outside the building. The museum showcase a lot of original drawing of the creator Hayao Miyazaki. You can see how he draw one scene step by step. They also showcase some tools to make a still subject become animated. It is very fascinating to see it. I highly recommend this place for tourist. It is a very unique museum to visit.
Outside the building, got the Laputa replica that you can take photos. They also have a cafe for you to have a small refreshment and enjoy the scenery around the museum. Now here is the photos taken in the Ghibli Museum.
